Nurse Orem Responsibilities & Duties
• Performs nursing assessment and evaluation under The Covery’s medical and nursing protocols.
• Triage clients and must know normal vital sign parameters and follow standard protocols for abnormalities, including alerting the Charge Nurse, General Manager and/or Medical Provider.
• Administers two primary nursing services: Intravenous therapy and intramuscular injections using the prescribed protocols and array of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants and following sterile technique.
• Other services that include: Red Light Therapy, Dry Float treatments, HALO-IR, Compression therapy, Aesthetic services, Hyperbaric oxygen
treatments, Cryotherapy treatments, etc.
• Uses electronic medical records to document client visits and therapies received
• Under the provider’s and nursing managers supervision, address and answer client questions using educational materials and communicate with the rest of the nursing team any issues or adverse events.
• Exhibits use of therapeutic communication, exceptional customer service, professionalism, timeliness, efficiency, and teamwork in all aspects of work.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and educate clients and potential clients about The Covery and all services provided when needed in addition to and working with our Client Services team.
• Maintains a level of knowledge conducive to providing high-quality, competitive and kind nursing care.
• Follow all rules and systems while always maintaining confidentiality with all clients and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform administrative duties including restocking supplies, anticipating stock needs, alerting the Charge Nurse of low stock.
• Assists staff with other store services.
• Keep areas clean, orderly and safe at all times.
• Opportunity to participate in off-site nursing events and special projects.
• Participates in periodical and mandatory nursing evaluations.
Skills & Qualifications
● Unencumbered RN license in the state of Utah
● At least TWO years of experience as a nurse in an acute care setting (ER, ICU, Med-Surg, OR, Hospital).
● Two years experience administering injections and intravenous therapy.
● BLS Certified (Basic Life Support).
● Experience with EMR systems and basic computer skills.
